Rakus is the eldest of the Gods of [[Ya'Ria]]. He was created by the fear all creatures have of life's end. He was tricked into giving heroes multiple chances at life by his sibling [[Syndiliss]]. The terms of their bet have never been told, but [[Syndiliss]] has been barred from the [[NetherRealm]] ever since. Rakus cannot walk the world as his very touch destroys [[Ya'Ria]]. He allows spirits to be pulled from the [[NetherRealm]] by dead callers. This maintains the fear that he thrives on. He does not condone the creation of permanent undead as those souls slip his judgment.

Rakus is usually revered by dead callers, pain givers, and the aged or infirm. He is the great judgment as all eventually pass into his realm. He detests elven kind as they do not die natural deaths.

The good intentioned followers worship Rakus as the proper end to all things. They summon undead to educate and aid the living. They aid the dying in their passage into the next realm. They find the idea of soul hooking and forced possession distasteful at the least, criminal at the worst.

Neutral followers believe that all things happen in time. The end of a person's life is a time of transition. All will come to Rakus and all will be judged. Preventing death is impossible, therefore useless to attempt.
